The Amazing Changing Power of Grace

1st Sermon Preached at Auxano Church

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18We grow in God by receiving by faith His undeserved grace. Ephesians 2 tells us that we are saved by grace through faith and that is not by our own works or efforts, but it is the gift of God so none can boast in themselves. So we are born again as new babes into the kingdom by the gift of His grace! This is the new birth! This is a miracle and the greatest of all miracles! But God doesn’t start things and not finish them. Everything He begins, He completes. He doesn’t give birth to spiritual children and leave them on the side of the road. He adopts them into His family called the church and brings them into a place they can grow. The Greek word “grow” is the word Auxano. It means: “ to cause to grow, to augment (make (something) greater by adding to it)to increase, become greaterto grow, increaseof plantsof infantsof a multitude of peopleof inward Christian growth
