In the sermon "Christ Our Passover Lamb" Pastor Aaron Skirrow speaks of how Jesus Christ is the "Passover Lamb", and how His death is the fulfillment of the Passover sacrifice in the Old Testament. The story of Passover is a significant event in the history of the Israelites, which is described in the Bible in the book of Exodus. The Passover commemorates the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt, under the leadership of Moses. According to the Bible, God commanded the Israelites to sacrifice a lamb and spread its blood on the doorposts of their homes, as a sign for the Angel of Death to "pass over" their homes and spare their firstborn sons. This event is seen as a symbol of God's protection and redemption of His people. (Exodus 12:1-13) In the New Testament, Jesus is referred to as the "Lamb of God" who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). His death on the cross is the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of humanity, fulfilling the symbolism of the Passover lamb. Jesus' death redeemed humanity from the curse of sin and death, and reconciled them to God. (1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19) The New Testament speaks of Jesus as the Lamb of God who was sacrificed for the sins of the world (John 1:29, Revelation 5:6, 12) Subscribe to our channel for more content like this: https://www.youtube.com/@auxanochurch If you would like to contribute financially and help us create more opportunities for people to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus, click here: https://auxanochurch.org/give #auxanochurch #timessquarechurch #timdilena #churchonline #aaronskirrow #onlinechurch #stories #God #revival #Wisconsin #depressed #empty #hopeless #Jesus #Milwaukee #passover #lambofgod
